1) Review grooming
2) Continue groundwork
techniques
(leading/grooming)
3) Measure the height and
weight of your horse

LESSON 4 (2 hours)
1) Equine nutrition (get AM
and PM feed ready)
2) Muck a stall
3) Continue groundwork
techniques
(leading/grooming)
4) Learn how to tack a horse.

Homework: Names and
Functions of English Tack

LESSON 5 (2 hours)
1) Review names and
functions of English tack
2) Groom and tack your
horse
3) Take a ride!
4) Untack and return your
horse to the pasture or
stall
Beginner Equine Science Class
Lesson 2
While meeting the horses students begin learning parts of the
horse, coat colors, face and leg markings, and behavior.
Lesson 3
Lesson 4
Lesson 5
Students learn how to muck a stall,  set up feed, and tack a horse.
